Karli Silver – Risk Implementation Specialist

Karli started working in this industry with CommInsure in Retail Risk Insurance at 19 working in various positions from processing new business insurance applications to Business Development Consultant over 11 years. She worked with both independent and in house financial planners. Whilst working for CommInsure I completed her Diploma in Financial planning and volunteered to be the board secretary for the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA).

She took a break from work to raise her 2 boys and returned to work part time working remotely for an established Financial Planning business making appointments and basic data entry, before moving onto a small startup Financial Planning business in Newcastle under Wealth Market and then most recently working remotely for a Financial Planning Business in Brisbane as the Client Services Manager.

Karli enjoys working with clients, helping them through what can be a complex (at times) process, or letting them know we are always here to help no matter how big or small the enquiry is. At her most recent workplace, she learned a lot about SMSF establishments and the investment process within these structures. She enjoys working on those more complex insurance clients who have an out of the box occupation or medical condition and being able to successfully find someone who will insure them. She also gets a kick out of working with those younger clients who have just purchased their first home or had their first child and helping them through this financial commitment in protecting themselves now and for the future.  

When not working, Karli is generally running after her boys (5 and 7) doing swimming, soccer, and driving them around to their social engagements. They enjoy camping in their van, gardening, and bushwalking as a family. We also enjoy spending time up at her parent’s property in Rookhurst.
