Christopher Bullen – Capability Partner

Chris had a diverse career journey, starting as a concreter and scaffolder before landing a role as a croupier at The Star at 20. This job honed his customer service skills, earning him multiple awards and recognition. A leader noticed his talent for coaching and development, encouraging him to pursue leadership opportunities, which led to his promotion to supervisor after seven years. In this role, Chris mentored new and existing team members and took on secondment roles as a trainer and recruitment officer.

After 14 years at The Star, he became a Development & Training Executive, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and refining training processes. Beyond the technical aspects, his proudest achievement was fostering a family-like culture within his team, which positively impacted the entire company. By strengthening interpersonal relationships, he helped shift training perceptions, reducing detractors and creating enthusiastic participants who became “raving fans.”

Relationship-building is one of his key strengths, using harmony, empathy, and a genuine approach to engage with people. He takes pride in helping others, whether directly or by connecting them with the right support. While he always strives to learn from those around him, he does his best to create meaningful connections and positive experiences for those he works with.

Outside of work, family is his top priority. He cherishes time with his children, ensuring they have opportunities he didn’t have growing up. In his spare time, he enjoys learning the guitar, playing board games, hitting the gym, and catching up with friends over geeky hobbies like Magic: The Gathering and Gunpla. Whether it’s discovering new trends or simply relaxing with a good recommendation, Chris always finds ways to stay engaged and keep learning.
