From ongoing COVID-19 impacts, border closures separating loved ones and an increase in housing and living affordability in many areas across Australia, it is now more important than ever to come together as a community and support those who need it most this Christmas.

For the fourth year running, we are proud to be supporting the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal by holding a food and gift drive.

“While it is easy to lose sight of the real meaning of Christmas, it is beautiful to support an organization that truly lives by the Christmas spirit and allows us to remember what Christmas is really about.” – Meg Galloway, Relationship Manager

In the reception area of each of our 22 locations, you will find donation boxes. We encourage our people and clients to donate food or gifts to be collected by the Salvation Army charity workers on the 17th of December, ready to be distributed in time for Christmas!

We are delighted to see the donations are already piling up.

“I feel this year has been particularly challenging with borders keeping loved ones apart. I hope as borders slowly reopen loved ones will be reunited in time for Christmas but know for many this still won’t be the case. Supporting the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal for me is important as I hope it can ignite the Christmas spirit and bring some warmth to those who need it most.” – Madi Plummer, Marketing Manager

In addition to the food and gift drive, Invest Blue will be making a cash donation of $5000 to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal on behalf of our people and clients. We know from years past the joy a gift can bring and the gratitude a food hamper can bring to those in need at Christmas.

“I think the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal is a fantastic cause. To me, being able to participate in putting together food and gifts for the less fortunate on Christmas is a privilege. The Gift is in the Giving, and that Gift is being able to make someone’s day a little brighter or giving them a reason to smile. I hope, by doing this, that one day they may also do the same for someone else and so on. #passiton” – Simone Wills, Relationship Manager

If you would like to make a donation, we welcome you to drop off your food or gift at your closest Invest Blue office.
